Sidhe

The ruling class of the Kithain from time long gone, the Sidhe have only recently returned from Arcadia. After abandoning the world to flee the growth of Banality during the Shattering more than six hundred years ago, the Sidhe returned to Earth in 1969, and then again in 2001. Learning to balance the more Banal world and the ever-present threat of Bedlam has been a constant challenge for the Sidhe. Born of dreams of leadership, Sidhe are ethereal, stunningly beautiful to behold, but their anger, when roused, is just as terrible as their beauty is awe-inspiring. Sidhe tend to live lifestyles of affluence and wealth. While able to succeed in nearly any profession they please Sidhe tend to hold prominent positions in whatever their chosen field. While the Sidhe mean well and much of the hope of staving off the coming winter lies in their hands, they generally view commoners as below them at best and objects at worst. This view and their enforcement of their status as the leaders of the Kithain have led most commoners to distrust or dislike the Sidhe.

Costuming Tips:

Sidhe essentially resemble elves of the Tolkein mythos - delicate features and most importantly, pointed ears. The White Wolf art generally depicts Sidhe ears as being very long - at least 4 to 5 inches from the tip of your actual ear; for this, prosthetic ear tips are a great choice. In their Fae Mien Sidhe tend to dress to impress: go beyond typical Ren Faire garb and think of things like "gowns of spring dew drops", "armor formed of chilled flames" and "robes of diamond silk" are all examples cited as "less impressive".
